Located in the south of Burgundy, Thevenet and Fils has been family owned for three generations and started with just three hectares of vines. Today, sons Benjamin, Jonathan and Aurélien run the vineyard and it has expanded to thirty hectares and they produce a dozen appellations. Over the years, the Thevenet family has been making wine from their estate vineyards while also running a successful grape vine nursery business for many family-owned domaines in Burgundy and Champagne. Chardonnay is the dominant at this estate and this bubbly is a wonderful example of what they are capable of making. Made from 100% Chardonnay and grown on 20 year old vines, this wine is a small production with only 6,000 bottles produced every year. Aged on lees for 67 months, you will experience a balance of brioche and green apple and citrus. Drink this wine as an aperitif or pair this wine with shellfish.
