This family-run winery was founded in 1999 by husband and wife team Fausto Albanesi and Adriana Galasso after inheriting a parcel of family vineyard in the Abruzzo region of Italy from Adriana’s father, who first planted vines in 1972. Cultivating their montepulciano grapes in clay-limestone soil, fermenting in steel tanks, and aged for 20 months in French oak barriques this ‘Cocciapazza’ cuvée is certified organic. In your glass expect to find notes of tomato leaves, plums, and herbs complimented by velvety texture and perfectly balanced tannins.
