This wine comes from the province of Teramo where the vines are at least 50 years old and located 290 meters above sea level. The vineyard faces south-east which gives wonderful exposure to the grapes. Aged in barriques for 12 months, it then refines in the bottle for another 6 months. It is recommended that this bottle be opened and allowed to breathe before enjoying in order to allow the aromas and flavors of dried fruit and vanilla to fully develop. Recommended pairings include paparadelle with meat sauce or a pecorino-marcetto from Castel del Monte.
