Located in the Campania region of Southern Italy, Cantina Trabucco was founded in 2003. The property has its own unique soil and microclimate, made from a mix of regular and volcanic soils. In Italian 'Paradosso' translates to 'Paradox' because this is, in fact, a white wine made with red grapes. Primitivo, known as Zinfandel in the United States, can trace its Italian roots back to the 1700s but actually originated in Croatia. While Primitivo typically has tasting notes of dark fruits and even pepper, this medium-bodied white has tasting notes of tropical fruit including passionfruit and papaya and a hint of tomato leaf. Pair this 'paradox' with a shrimp pasta dish or a tomato flatbread.
