This small, cooperative winery was founded in 1958 and today is made up of 500 winegrowers who cultivate about 1,000 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards themselves are rich in limestone soils and almost exclusively native wines are grown including but not limited to, Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola. This particular wine is made up of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Merlot. It is aged in stainless steel and is light and refreshing with notes of raspberry, strawberry and citrus complemented by an herby finish. This rose is very food friendly and can be paired with lots of things, including charcuterie boards, seafood dishes and grilled chicken caesar salad.
