Vostinic-Klasnic lies just outside of the bustling city of Zagreb and has been family owned since 1936 when the owner Tomislav Vostinic's great grandfather planted the first vines of Skrlet in the area. Today, the winery’s name pays homage to him and the legacy he left behind. The vines are some of the oldest Skrlet vines in existence and they have implemented organic farming to maintain the integrity of the vines and the property. This medium-bodied wine is made from organic cultivation in loamy, clay soil. Harvested by hand in the early morning, the grapes are then pressed in stainless steel tanks followed by fermentation with native yeasts. Floral notes on the nose are met with tropical fruit, peach, and green apple in the mouth. Pair with oysters, sushi, or spicy Thai curries.
