Gerhard Pittnauer inherited his 15 hectares at 18 years old when his father passed away unexpectedly. He had to find his own way in the winemaking world. All work on the vineyard is done manually, from composting to harvest, and he does not believe in rushing to make wine- “quality over speed.” This beautiful rose is composed of mostly Blaufrankish and in the glass you will find flavors reminiscent of strawberry limeade with none of the sweetness, a bit of watermelon and mouth watering salinity. This rose has just enough heft to usher us into fall!
