Coelus is a passion project of the Yllera family who have been making wine for 6 generations. 'Coelus' was the God of the sky in Roman Mythology and the all of their labels pay homage to the pioneers of the air. Specializing in La Rioja varietals including Tempranillo and Garnacha, the vineyards are made up of stony and clay soils giving the wines a unique aroma and fresh acidity. This red is 100% Tempranillo with tasting notes of licorice and red fruit including strawberries and raspberries. This versatile wine pairs well with many dishes including pasta and white meats.
