Château Laplagnotte-Bellevue is located 1.86 miles (3 kilometers) to the northeast of the town of Saint-Émilion planted to 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. On the right bank of the Dordogne the soils are mostly clay which favor Merlot. Château Laplagnotte-Bellevue is certainly one of the most underrated wines on the entire right bank as year after year they produce a quality wine, which can be tricky for producers in Bordeaux
